CK Beat the Heat at the Wall Street Run & Heart Walk

May 30th was a scorcher in New York City: 90 degrees and humid. But that didn’t stop 18 CooperKatz team members from running or walking their way to the finish line of the American Heart Association’s 2013 Wall Street Run & Heart Walk.

The CooperKatz team raised nearly $1000 for the event, which was a three mile run / walk that wove through the Financial District near Wall Street and ended in Battery Park City.

The CooperKatz team raised nearly $1000 for the event, which was a three mile run / walk that wove through the Financial District near Wall Street and ended in Battery Park City. The entire team, including eight runners and 10 walkers, had a lot of fun despite the heat.

Following a successful family charity walk in October with the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, CooperKatz wanted to offer another fun way for staff members to raise money for a good cause while also raising their heart rates! The AHA Wall Street Run & Heart Walk was the perfect solution.

While we don’t have anything lined up quite yet, we’re looking forward to participating in another fundraising / fitness-focused event in 2013. Keep checking the blog for updates on the latest activities organized by the CooperKatz Wellness Team!
