Fresh Faces is a series on our blog in which we introduce new members of the CooperKatz team. In this post, get to know our new account executive, Robert Ferrara!
For as long as I can remember, I have always been enamored by the power of the media and its ability to shape public perception. I was always curious how stories are crafted and how information is spread. Upon taking a few PR courses in college, I was genuinely excited to learn about the behind-the-scenes action of communications professionals and the way they adapt to our ever-changing media landscape.
As someone who describes themselves as the definition of a people person and enjoys keeping a close eye on the news cycle, I saw no better fit than a career in public relations.
I love the endless possibilities that New York City has to offer. As basic as it sounds, nothing beats brunch with friends, a visit to any of the city’s wonderful museums and taking a stroll in one of the many parks with an incredible view.
The New York Times. In the era of “fake news” and an internet-obsessed culture, it’s definitely unsettling to see how many people believe and share anything they read. Reputable and trustworthy news sources are critical now, more than ever.
London has to be my favorite city that I’ve traveled to so far. The energy of the city and its amazing people left a strong impression on me. There’s so much history to explore, endless performances to see and there’s never a lack of things to do. I’ve been itching to go back ever since.
As a documentary and true crime buff, I definitely fell down the rabbit hole this year with so many interesting shows coming out. Right now, I’m finishing up “Confession Tapes” on Netflix and it’s been absolutely mind-boggling.
