What did you study?
I have a BFA in Communications Design. My concentration was in Graphic Design.

What is the best project you’ve ever worked on, and why did you love it?
The best project I’ve ever worked on was intimidating at first but then became genuinely fun. Students were asked to build an advertising campaign for Tesla’s Model X. My partner and I did not want to create another cliché car ad. However, coming up with unique ideas was a struggle indeed. It required lots of research and our sources were limited since their new model wasn’t officially out yet. When we finally came up with a solid idea, we had to visit Tesla’s showroom to take the photographs we needed. Even though it took us a long time and a lot of effort, I truly enjoyed it – especially because most of our classmates gave up after a while and picked other brands to promote. Plus, I think it’s one of my strongest portfolio pieces.

Why did you decide to intern in the PR industry?
I’m planning to apply for a master’s degree, either in marketing or corporate communications. I decided to intern in the PR industry because I thought it would be a great way to help accomplish this future goal. I believe advertising, marketing and PR are intertwined. Even though these three operate from different perspectives, they do share a common ground. I wanted to widen my knowledge and gain some experience in each field before making a decision about grad school.

What’s different about working on a creative services team within an agency setting?
It’s much more fast-paced. There’s a wide range of clients and a variety of different projects to work on; this diversity is refreshing and challenging at the same time.

What are you liking best about CooperKatz?
People! Everyone is really nice and helpful. I feel quite lucky to be in this welcoming environment.

Any fun facts about yourself that you’d like to share?
I am and always will be the biggest fan of Radiohead. Once, when I was in high school, I went to a music festival in the UK and waited standing non-stop for almost 10 hours (without water nor food to avoid bathroom breaks) so that I could see them live from the first row. The crowd was even worse than what you would expect on a Black Friday, but it was worth it.
