Andrea Martone has been a public relations and communications practitioner for 15 years, working as the editor-in-chief of a prominent Long Island weekly newspaper chain, as a regional magazine editor, and with New York-based public relations agencies. Prior to joining CooperKatz, she was a vice president at Rubenstein Associates public relations in New York City.
As Vice President, Media Services at CooperKatz & Company, Ms. Martone handles business, health and consumer media outreach across the agencys roster of clients and maintains the agencys media databases and other shared resources. She spearheaded publicity support for a 4-month, 36-city tour across America for an online furniture super site that generated close to 200 individual television news "hits." She also led the agency team that twice toured Volvos first safety concept car (including a drivable version) to six major U.S. cities, resulting in saturation broadcast and print coverage in those markets as well as extensive TV and online pick-up across the nation for both Volvo tours. She also oversaw the media promotion of the world's largest pipe and drum parade in New York City, which drew 9,000 pipers and drummers from 26 countries and every state in the U.S. The event drew national and international publicity.
A pro at generating significant placements for clients on local/national television morning and news shows, as well as radio, her media expertise benefited clients on the Today Show, Fox & Friends, CNN, Good Day, NY, PBS Nightly Business Report, WB11 Morning Show, Reuters Television, CBS Marketwatch, CNBC Squawk Box, the CBS Early Show, among others.
Ms. Martone holds a bachelors degree in education from the University of Vermont and an M.S. in education from New York Institute of Technology.
