Bernadette Walsh has over ten years of public relations experience in business-to-business marketing, corporate communications and government affairs.
Most recently, Ms. Walsh was the senior vice president for corporate communications at the New York City Economic Development Corporation (EDC), a not-for-profit corporation responsible for stimulating New York Citys economy through innovative programs and projects. As the Citys spokesperson on economic development issues, Ms. Walsh managed media relations and planned major press events for the Mayors office. Ms. Walsh also oversaw the Citys first national marketing program to recruit companies to New York City. At EDC, Ms. Walsh also worked closely with the Citys growing high-tech community, helping to develop the Citys annual Venture Capital Conference and to market the Plug N Go and Digital NYC real estate programs to Internet companies.
Prior to EDC, Ms. Walsh worked at Burson-Marsteller, where she counseled a diversity of clients in the private and public sectors. In addition to media relations, she also wrote and produced videos, brochures and public service announcements. Her clients included the U.S. Treasury, Owens-Corning, Engelhard Corporation, the U.S. Army and the State of Mississippi. Ms. Walsh also helped launch a variety of industrial and commercial products for major business-to-business accounts at Boxenbaum Grates, where she began her career in public relations. Her clients included Mobil Chemical Company, Reichold Chemical Company and Canteen Vending Services.

Ms. Walsh has a masters degree from the School of International & Public Affairs at Columbia University and a Bachelors degree in History and Spanish from Colgate University.
