Christopher Rucas has over 12 years of public relations, marketing and corporate communications experience with clients from a variety of industry sectors.
Previously, Mr. Rucas was at Silicon Valley-based Stapleton Communications, where he handled all public relations for clients engaged in the Internet, semiconductor and technology industries. He was responsible for building brand awareness for Capstone Turbine Corporation, the leading supplier of microturbine power generating systems for the distributed energy market, and helped coordinate media coverage for their PanCanadian event, as well as assisted in preparations for PowerGen and the Oakland Biomass Conference. In addition, he worked with Autoweb.com (AWEB) and QuickLogic Corporation (QUIK). Mr. Rucas was also responsible for assisting in the production of several corporate promotional videos for his clients.
At CooperKatz and Company, Mr. Rucas took a lead role in the 2000 launch of Vendquest, Inc., a business-to-business e-commerce marketplace for buyers and suppliers in the construction, heavy equipment and trucking industries. He currently manages all business and trade publicity for Vendquest. He is also responsible for the public relations campaign being executed for bolero.net, an Internet-based system for bringing standardization to global trade transactions.
Mr. Rucas is a graduate of the University of Kansas with a B.S. in Journalism.
