Katherine Giokas brings a strong foundation of communications in the healthcare sector to her position as account executive at CooperKatz & Company.
She previously worked as a public relations associate for the MediSys Health Network. There she was responsible for building strong, ongoing media relationships as well as providing daily public relations support to three Queens, NY hospitals.
Prior to MediSys, Ms. Giokas worked at Gotham, a full-service advertising agency. While there, she worked on the international account team for Maybelline Cosmetics, assisting over 60 Maybelline offices worldwide. Her responsibilities at Gotham also included a strong role in focus groups and consumer research.
Before joining Gotham, she helped plan and execute publicity for the Special Events Industry Tradeshow while at BiZBash Media, an event planning industry publication.
Ms. Giokas graduated from American University in Washington DC with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Communications and a minor in Health Promotion.
