Account Executive
Thea Linscott brings several years of experience driving communications programs in the non-profit sector to her role at CooperKatz & Company. As senior account executive, Ms. Linscott currently leads the media relations charge for PetFinder.com, the nation’s largest pet adoption Web site, and leading liberal arts institution, Grinnell College (Grinnell, Iowa).

Since joining CooperKatz, Ms. Linscott has provided creative and strategic public relations support for Virgin Mobile USA’s The Re*Generation and the naming of the first annual National Homeless Youth Awareness Month. She also supported the agency’s work for Tefen, a management consulting firm specializing in healthcare, and the office of the Consulate General of Belgium in New York City and.

Prior to CooperKatz, Ms. Linscott was with The American Red Cross, where she managed all public relations activities for the Nassau County Chapter on Long Island, New York. This work included strategizing and executing media relations, writing communications and marketing materials, serving as a spokesperson for the Chapter, training volunteers for media-facing roles and assisting in event development and execution. She also supported public affairs initiatives for national Red Cross deployments, including for Hurricane Katrina and the hurricane season of 2006.

Previously, Ms. Linscott has also worked with the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, the American Cancer Society and Jay’s World Childhood Cancer Foundation, Inc. on organizing events and supervising public relations activities.

Ms. Linscott holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Labor Studies from Hofstra University. She is currently a master’s candidate at New York University in Public Relations and Corporate Communications.
