Kortney Easterly brings both agency and corporate public relations experience to her role as an account executive at CooperKatz & Company. Her client teams include Fiserv, a top financial services technology company, Intelisent Advisors, an industry leader in marketing operations and personalized communications, and MyLocker, an e-commerce company providing custom apparel.
Prior to joining CooperKatz, Kortney gained significant experience in media relations and marketing while at Atlanta-based company, Marketing Inspirations. There she supported a variety of accounts in the sports, live entertainment and lifestyle areas and played a pivotal role in securing media placements for various campaigns and events. Kortney previously interned for the Atlanta Hawks & Philips Arena, where she assisted with corporate communications initiatives. Before this, Kortney was a public relations intern at Southern Company where she supported the internal and external communications for SouthernLINC Wireless.
While attending Georgia State University, Kortney served as the vice president for Student Services of the Student Government Association following her tenure as a senator for the College of Arts & Sciences and President Pro-Tempore. She was also the president of the Zeta Phi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. At her commencement ceremony, Kortney was awarded the Nell Hamilton Trotter Student Leadership Award, the highest student leadership award presented by the university.
Kortney holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a concentration in public relations as well as bachelor’s degree in sociology from Georgia State University. In 2014, she established the Kortney Easterly Cosmopolitan Scholarship, a study abroad scholarship for students at her alma mater.
